my you understand this week’s blog, I would like to start with Genesis 2:17.
Please, pay attention on each underlined word.
Genesis 2:17:
17 But from the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil, you must not eat from it; for on the day, you eat
from it, to die you shall be dying.
You would realize that the underlined
words are not common among many translated scriptures. This would be further
discussed below. Now, let us dive into the issues on how 1 Corinthians 15:22 have
been translated by some of the bibles people read.
I
Corinthians 15:22 from many scripture translations
Concordant.org:
For even as, in
Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified.
New International Version
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. No. All are dying not that all die. 1 Cor
15:51-52.
New Living Translation
Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to
Christ will be given new life. Here are my thoughts on this translation:
(1) Bible says not everyone will be
reposed/die (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). (2) Everyone who belongs to Christ makes
it a conditional statement. Christ’s sacrifice is for all humanity whether they
believe it now or not.
Here are some of
the bible versions for you to read as well. Please, pay attention to each
version.
English Standard Version
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. The same issue as in NIV.
Berean Standard Bible
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. The same issue as in NIV.
Berean Literal Bible
For as indeed in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. The same issue as in NIV.
King James Bible
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. The same issue as in NIV.
New King
James Version
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. The same issue as in NIV.

American Standard Bible

I took time to peruse all scripture
translations above to bring you this truth that many influencers have polluted
the truth we need to grasp from the scriptures. This has resulted to many
preachers not rightly sharing the word of God correctly. This is just one of
many scripture verses that have been incorrectly translated.
Here
are my observations:
1.
In the above, the same 1
Corinthians 15:22 was interpreted in different versions. In these versions,
most of them implicated that through Adam, all die.
2.
All of them also concluded that
through Christ, all will be alive.
Let us
discuss the phrase, “all die” briefly.
1.
All die implicates that all
humans born in this planet earth must die. Scientifically, it can be accepted
but not in the scripture. This is why scriptures must not be compromised for
people to understand the words spoken by Yahweh.
2.
In 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, Paul
made it known that not all will die. Should scriptures contradict itself? My
answer is no. Scriptures cannot be annulled (John 10:35).
3.
What Yahweh told human in
Genesis 2:17 was that if he eats of the forbidden fruits, die he shall be
dying. This implies that humans will be dying from the day he eats from the
forbidden fruits.
4.
For the fact that all humans
die since the day they are born, it does not mean all humans will die.
5.
Yahweh did not say that humans
would die but would be dying. There is a continuous action on Yahweh’s
statements made to Adam. However, the hypocrites are making efforts to derail
people’s understanding of Yahweh’s clear statement on this scripture verse. To
die you shall be dying is not the same as all die.
6.
If all will not die. It means
everyone will not die. Why? It is because when haparzo occurs, people who are
still alive will be caught up in the cloud with Yeshua when the trumpets sound
(1 Thessalonians 4:17).
7.
All scriptures above translated
that people will be made alive in Christ. This is correct. This implies that
what we will get through Christ is a futuristic event. However, not those who
are in Christ but all in Christ would be made alive just like all in
Adam are dying.
8.
There is no condition
attached to it unlike we have it in NLT “Just as everyone
dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be
given new life”. This is conditional and it is false.
9.
The truth of this particular
scripture is that the words there are both sides of a coin. All are
dying because of Adam while all are going to be alive because of the death and
resurrection of Yeshua. It is that simple.
10.
Only Contemporary English
Version explains 1 Corinthians 15:22 correctly apart from Concordant
Literal New Testament.
In conclusion, this is just one of many
translations from original Hebrews and Greek original scriptures which have
been hypocritically mistranslated. Incorrect translations of scriptures result
to false teachings and false applications of scriptures.
