This week’s blog hopes to explain why Yeshua came into this world. To some people, he came to this world to take away the sins of people. To some, he came only for the Jews. Some people believe Yeshua did not come to do anything than to live just like any other human. So, they regard him as a prophet or a very nice man full of good moral. These are not sufficient.

Daniel 9:26 says that Messiah shall be cut off, and there will be no adjudication for Him. It implies that Yeshua would not be able to protest or fight his way out of being sacrificed. He is meant to fulfill God’s plan for the whole world. In order words, Yeshua had to be born, grow and life like humans to fulfill God’s purpose for his life.

Let us look at this week’s blog scripture. It was written in John 1:29 that Yeshua had a mission. His mission was not about himself. His mission was to take away the sins of the world. It means that his time on earth was orchestrated by Yahweh. In Isaiah 53:1-12 explained in details about the kind of work Yeshua would come to do on earth. So, when John the Baptist saw him a far, he told his disciples to take a firm look at the young Yeshua and picture him as a Lambkin purposed to be sacrificed for the sins of the world. In order words, Yeshua would be an offering for the atonement of the sins of the world.

If Yeshua was meant to atone for the sins of the world and he eventually fulfilled this task as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, what can we deduce from it?

Ø    Yeshua had to die as the only sacrifice acceptable for the sins of the world. The sins prior his earthly existent and after his ascension into heaven.

Ø  Yeshua had paid for the sins of the world in full. It means no other sacrifice is required from anyone to atone for their sins.

With the two truths mentioned above, it leads to another question. Why do some people still love to worry about their sins?

People need to understand Romans 6:12.

Ø  Paul admonished us to avoid letting sins reign over us. Many people mis-understand him when he mentioned this. Many people are afraid whenever they sin. The fear grips their minds to the extent at which they chastise themselves through fast, prayers and purgatory to atone for their sins. Is this in the scripture? No. While it is advisable to move away from things that appear to be evil according to Galatians 5:19-21, it does not mean we should let the weight of sins put us down.

Ø  Whatever we submit ourselves to becomes our master. So long we keep perceiving sins as things we should be scare of, it becomes our master. This is why some people fall into the very thing they fear (Job 3:25). If we have come to the understanding that Yeshua had paid in full for our sins, we would realize that sins have no dominion over us.

This great topic would be concluded next week by the special grace of Yahweh.

Grace and Peace!
