Most people think his atonement was reactive but it was not....

Yeshua, the ultimate atonement of the world’s sins (part 1)

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance-CLNT: Hebrews 10:1-10; Colossians 1:12-20; The Unveiling of Jesus Christ (Revelation) 13:8

Hebrews 10:1-10

1 For the law, having a shadow of the impending good things, not the selfsame image of the matters, they, with their same sacrifices which they are offering year by year, are never able to perfect to a finality those approaching.
2 Else would they not cease being offered, because those offering divine service, having been once cleansed, are having no longer any consciousness of sins?
3 But in them there is a recollection of sins year by year;
4 for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and of he-goats to be eliminating sins.
5 Wherefore, entering into the world, He is saying, Sacrifice and approach present Thou dost not will, Yet a body dost Thou adapt to Me.
6 In ascent approaches and those concerning sin Thou dost not delight.
7 Then said I, "Lo! I am arriving-In the summary of the scroll it is written concerning Me-To do Thy will, O God."
8 Further up, when saying that "Sacrifice and approach present and ascent approaches and those concerning sin Thou dost not will, neither dost Thou delight in them" (which are being offered according to law),
9 then He has declared, "Lo! I am arriving to do Thy will, O God!" He is dispatching the first, that He should be establishing the second.
10 By which will we are hallowed through the approach present of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

 Colossians 1:12-20

12 at the same time giving thanks to the Father, Who makes you competent for a part of the allotment of the saints, in light,
13 Who rescues us out of the jurisdiction of Darkness, and transports us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in Whom we are having the deliverance, the pardon of sins,
15 Who is the Image of the invisible God, Firstborn of every creature,
16 for in Him is all created, that in the heavens and that on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or sovereignties, or authorities, all is created through Him and for Him,
17 and He is before all, and all has its cohesion in Him.
18 And He is the Head of the body, the ecclesia, Who is Sovereign, Firstborn from among the dead, that in all He may be becoming first,
19 for in Him the entire complement delights to dwell,
20 and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens.

The Unveiling of Jesus Christ (Revelation) 13:8

8 And all who are dwelling on the earth will be worshiping it, everyone whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lambkin slain from the disruption of the world.

Happy New Year to you Yahweh’s people. This is the first blog of this year 2026. The above scriptures are leading us to 3 weeks of discussion on this important issue. These discussions are hoped not to only inform you but to transform your mind and open your eyes of understanding to Yahweh’s secrets as I do my best to connect a few dots for you on his plans for humanity as revealed through the scriptures.

Since ancient time, the word sacrifice for atonement has been existing. Atonement is not required if there is no breach of duty from humans. This is because no perfection is found in humanity. What Revelation chapter 13:8 said gives us a good reason to think. We need to think on why the Lambkin had to be slain prior the disruption of this world. What came into my mind was found in Isaiah 46:10. Yahweh tells the end from the beginning. He also tells aforetime what has not yet been done. He does this in order to fulfil purpose. With this, it is crystal clear that Yahweh knows what will happen in the end before it begins. He does this because he is the timeless time planner. All times fall into his plans. His plans are carried out step by step irrespective of all years it may take before his plans take shape for us to understand. So, on this, Yahweh was not reactive to what Adam and Eve did. He was not also proactive to ensure some people escape the horror of "hell fire". He simply followed his plan.

Why is this necessary?

This necessary because Yahweh is not human. He cannot be placed in the position of human. So, whatever you may think or know as human’s abilities are not in Yahweh’s league. Yahweh ways are not our ways and our thoughts are not ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Isaiah came to understand this truth based on how he had experienced Yahweh. Yahweh decides who he wants to reveal himself to. Human’s abilities to see/experience Yahweh is futile because it is not by might or power but by the Spirit of Yahweh (Zechariah 4:6). So, it all centers on Yahweh’s will for humanity.

Yahweh’s plan of world’s sin atonement prior the creation of this world:

The unveiling of Jesus Christ (Revelation) revealed that John found out that Yeshua (Jesus Christ) had been slain prior the disruption of this world. It means Yahweh had planned atonement for humans' sins through Yeshua before he created this world. Now, you can draw this dot to the event that occurred in Genesis chapter 3 that Yahweh knew what would happen after he had given an instruction to humans. He knew humans would disobey his instruction. It did not catch him unawares. You may find this impossible to believe but remember that Yahweh is not human. He does not play by your books and your reasoning capacity. His foolishness (even if human pretends to say Yahweh is not foolish but it appears that he is) is wiser than the wise (1 Corinthians 1:25).

Humans had to transgress Yahweh’s instructions to align with his plans for them. This may be a little strange to you but it is not strange to those he has revealed the secret of his plan on humanity to. If you truly understand this, you would not follow those who only see the top of the tree but the root of the tree. Yahweh has what may be described as behind the scene activities. Most people only see the movies but did not see how the movies were produced.

Why were other atonements necessary prior the Sacrifice of Yeshua as found in the Old Testaments?

You may be wondering why it took so long for Yahweh to fulfil Revelation 13:8. Yahweh does not play by our rules. He simply follows his plans to letter. He gave humanity the opportunity to experience the similarities before he brings up the original. It does not mean that the old sacrifices were not significant but they were point of reference to the original sacrifice that would be unveiled in the future. Paul discussed that there have been many sacrifices made to atone for the sins of humans by priests in the land of Israel. However, these atonements did not clean the sins of humanity completely because they were imperfect. I want to add to it that the rest of the world have also been making sacrifices to atone for their misdeeds as well.

All these did not perfectly blot out the sins of humanity because they are also imperfect. When it was the right time in the plan of Yahweh for humanity, he showed up. Galatians 4:4 says that when the full time came, God delegates His Son, come of a woman, come under law. This son came in the spirit into the womb of Mary. He was referred to as the son of the Most High according to Luke chapter 1. This further established that it may appears that it took Yahweh a long time to fulfil his plan but his time is always on point. Yahweh’s time may be late to humans but his time is always right. Remember that he does not play by humans’ rules.

In conclusion, now that you have understood Yahweh’s plan for atonement of humans’ sins, you might like to know why he had to go through Abraham. What is it about Abraham? What made him special? Was he the only good man in his time? Why would Yahweh let Yeshua go through many problems before he was finally sacrificed? Well. You just have to wait until next week for explanations on this.

Thanks for taking time to read this week’s blog.

Happy New Year to you once again.

Grace and Peace!

  1. Yahweh's ways are not our ways. He has plans for everything. He follows his plans as written. He does not change his mind in absolute sense. He is neither reactive or proactive in absolute sense. Even though many believe he does all these. They only see him in relative sense but he chooses to show a few of his secrets to his selected ones to see the events behind the curtains. Such people would rather be strangers to the rest of the world but their words are not strange to the one who sends them. Why, because he knows that not everyone would believe the words of strangers.
