Yahweh and Yeshua (Part 2): Issues with trinity theology

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance-CLNT: Colossians 1:15; John 10:30; Luke 23:46; Deuteronomy 6:4 and Mark 12:29

Deuteronomy 6:4:

Hear, Israel! Yahweh is our Elohim; Yahweh the only One.

John 10:30:

30. I and the Father, We are one."

Luke 23:46:

46 And shouting with a loud voice, Jesus said, "Father, into Thy hands am I committing My spirit." Now, saying this, He expires.

John 14:16-17:

16 "And I shall be asking the Father, and He will be giving you another consoler, that it, indeed, may be with you for the eon --
17 the spirit of truth, which the world can not get, for it is not beholding it, neither is knowing it. Yet you know it, for it is remaining with you and will be in you.

1 John 5:6-9:

6 This is He Who is coming through water and blood and spirit -- Jesus Christ -- not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood. And the spirit it is which is testifying, for the spirit is the truth,
7 seeing that three there are that are testifying,
8 the spirit, and the water, and the blood, and the three are for the one thing.
9 If we are obtaining the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God, that He has testified concerning His Son.

Matthew 28:19:

19 Going, then, disciple all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,

Mark 12:29

29 Jesus answered him that "The foremost precept of all is: Hear, Israel! the Lord our God is one Lord.

Trinity is one of the familiar words with nowadays Christians. They pray with it, sanctify things with it and even share the grace with it. This tradition was neither found in Old Testament of the scripture nor was it found in the early chapters of the scriptures until Yeshua mentioned it in towards the end of his ministry on earth. Yeshua did not imply the word, trinity but referred to his father and himself. However, he mentioned that a helper would come from his father to remind his followers all things he had taught them. He did not refer this helper a person but a spirit from Yahweh.

The implications from Yeshua’s conversations with his followers have made some people believe that there is God father, God Son and God the Holy Spirit. They believe that they are three in unity not understanding that this is not so. Often times, Yeshua drew line between himself and Yahweh. He said in Matthew 24: 36 that the son of man does not know when he would come back but only his father knows. In another scripture passage, Yeshua said that father should forgive them (i.e. those who crucified him) for they did not know what they were doing (Luke 23:34). These should be enough reasons for people to understand that he directed his conversation and prayers only to his father. Otherwise, he should have said, “father and holy spirit, forgive them for they did not know what they were doing”. Therefore, both Yeshua and Yahweh are one in spirit but different in roles. The spirit of Yahweh is required to perform the biddings of Yahweh. Yahweh and Yeshua are spirits and they are holy.

So, where did trinity come from?

First of all, this was a developed idea since 2nd through 4th century according to stanford.edu and AI search.

Secondly, theologians like Tertullian (circa 160-225 AD) and Origen (circa 185-254 AD) contributed significantly to the formulation of Trinitarian concepts. The First Council of Nicaea (325 AD) and Council of Constantinople (381 AD) have also pivoted the theology of trinity. All these negate what early followers of Christ and Israelites (including Jews of old) understood about Yahweh and Yeshua. Habitual cheery pick from many Christians on this issue has resulted to controversies because some scriptures apparently oppose trinity theology.

This week will discuss to some extent what went wrong with this theology.

It can be found in 1 John 5:6-9. John’s account revealed that there is father, son and the holy spirit as found in verse 6 through 8. However, if you read verse 9, it boils down to father and son. What I observed here is that the earlier Christian theologians did not study this scripture very well before they concluded that there are three beings that formed one entity as trinity. This is a false doctrine. If the Israelites understand that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) as testified by Yeshua himself in Mark 12:29, then, the Western Christian theologians have questions to answer on how they recorded 1 John 5:6-8. They have misled billions of people and this is why some Christians, especially some Catholics disagree with the theology of trinity.

The question now is who/what is the Holy Spirit?

Ø  It can be deduced from the above explanations that it is addressed as a spirit of Yahweh through Yahweh to humans. It is a spirit. Therefore, the word, “it” is used mostly in John 14:16-17.

Ø  It is not a person as most people may refer to it in Matthew 28:19. English theologians came up with the idea that the Holy Spirit is a person because Yeshua mentioned that people should be baptized in the name of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. They do not understand that the common denominator between Father and Son is the Spirit which is Holy. The Holy Spirit is just like their DNA.  It came from Yahweh as a helper. It doesn't make it another God.

Ø  Remember that there are other Elohim created by Yeshua (John 1:2-3) through Yahweh and they are also spirits. However, Yahweh and Yeshua are holy. Holy means, separated. They are not like other elohim.

Ø  It is the spirit of Yahweh that helps us to do Yahweh’s bidding because our flesh cannot help us (John 6:63). This is the same spirit Yeshua prayed his father to help all his followers to do his father’s biddings. It is not another God but a helper of our faith in Christ Yeshua.

Ø  Yahweh is spirit and he is holy. Yeshua is also a spirit and he is holy. However, Yeshua is the express image of the invisible Yahweh (Colossians 1:15). No one can see Yahweh (John 1:18). Yeshua is the image of his father (Yahweh). This is why Yeshua always refer to his father and not to the Holy Spirit because it is not a being like him and his father. It is their connection. Just like blood connection between earthly father and his son. I am trying to explain it in a simple way I could think of.

Ø  According to www.ucg.org, the word, trinity does not exist in the scripture. Therefore, it is a created theology of the Western Christians who believe that God exists in three dimensions.

Ø  People need to understand that they cannot hold on to their religion and traditions if they contradict the scriptures. Otherwise, this is a deception. The scriptures mentioned above are the true proves that the word trinity is human made doctrine. Trinity is human assumption and incorrect interpretations of the scriptures.

With all mentioned above, it would be great if you ponder seriously on this matter as Western Christians have manipulated a whole lot about the truth concerning Yahweh and his Yeshua. Trinity is just one of many false theologies they have come up with. So, you can imagine many things they have done to mislead billions of people. This theology is human tradition and convention. It has been imposed on Christain religion since many years ago. You must have read many books promoting this theology as well. This is rather deceitful.

I hope this week’s blog has got you thinking. I pray Yahweh to make you read between the lines and come out of this deception.

Grace and Peace.

  1. When human’s traditions cloud the truth from the scriptures, many are deceived from such deadly assumptions.
