Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my tracks (Psalm 119:105)

Topic: Yahweh and Yeshua (PART 1): CAN GOD DIE?

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance-CLNT: Luke 23:46; John 10:30; John 14:28; Galatians 4:4-6

John 10:30:

30 I and the Father, We are one."

John 14:28:

28 You hear that I said to you, 'I am going, and I am coming to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Luke 23:46:

46 And shouting with a loud voice, Jesus said, "Father, into Thy hands am I committing My spirit." Now, saying this, He expires.

Galatians 4:4-6:

Now when the full time came, God delegates His Son, come of a woman, come under law,
5 that He should be reclaiming those under law, that we may be getting the place of a son.
6 Now, seeing that you are sons, God delegates the spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying "Abba! Father!"

This week’s blog is meant to provide clarity on what many religious and bible readers have heard about God which may not be true biblically.

I feel like, how do I start this week’s blog…in Christian religion, many things have been changed concerning the truth about God. First of all, the word God is not Hebrew language. It is a word originated from old English. According to the Artificial Intelligence (AI), the word God means a celestial deity and a supreme deity. The Germans calls him “Gott” while the Dutch refer to him as “god”. In Yoruba language, he is referred to as “Olodumare” while the Igbos refer to him as “Chineke”. The Hebrews know him as Yahuwah (Old Hebrew language) and Yahweh (New Hebrew language). These are just examples of many names people from different part of the world call God. English language has caused great problems on the ambiguity of the word, God. This is rather a sad issue. However, it is hoped that this week’s blog will elucidate on this darkness and brings clarity to you.

Each of the ethnics mentioned above believe that this God created everything we can see and those we cannot see. They believe this God is also in control of everything on earth. They believe he is a subjector. They also believe this God cannot die.

Christians claim affiliations with Hebrews. However, they came up with things that negate what Hebrews believe. One of them is that God cannot die. I have heard many Christians saying God cannot die. So, if you ask them, why did Yeshua die, they get confused. They do not know the difference between Yeshua and Yahweh.

The question is, can God die? From all indications, in this week’s blog, God cannot die. Then, the next question is, why do Christians refer to Yeshua (Christ Jesus) as God? Why is Yeshua God?

Here is what I know through the scriptures.

Ø  When Yeshua mentioned that his father and him are one (John 10:30), it does not mean they are equal. A father and his son may share the same last name, the same DNA and even share the same resemblance. However, the are not on the same level. Father is always greater/older than his son.

Ø  Do not get it twisted on what Paul said in Philippians 2:6. Yeshua who was being inherently in the form of God, deems it not pillaging to be equal with God does not mean they are the same being. What you need to understand here is that Yeshua that came in form of human is a spirit that emerged from Yahweh. He is also the first born of Yahweh. He has the form of his father (Yahweh). Therefore, he did not see it as a robbery to be as his father. It does not make them equal.

Ø  When the fullness of time came, Yahweh sent Yeshua to the world to die for their sins (Galatians 4:4). The same spirit of Yahweh that operated in Yeshua has been given to us to refer to Yahweh as our Father (Galatians 4:6). This is why Yeshua referred to Yahweh as our Father who are it Heavens as found in Matthew chapter 6:9.

Ø  Having understood these, it means Yeshua bears the last name of his Father but it does not make him equal to his Father.

Ø  He had to die to fulfil the scriptures which include but not limited to Isaiah 53; Daniel 9:26; Luke 23:46 Matthew 12:40 and John 1:29 among others. He acknowledged his Father (Yahweh) when he was about to die as found in Luke 23:46. That should give you more clarity between the two of them. I will write more on this next week.

So, if God cannot die, more clarity has to be made to pass our messages to our audience.

Yeshua is the son of God (Yahweh). Yahweh does not die but Yeshua did. He had died, buried but is alive (Revelation 1:18). So, is Yeshua the same as Yahweh? No. If anyone tells you that God cannot die, please tell them to clarify which one.

I hope this week’s blog has been a blessing to you.
