Imagine you taking the front seat row to see your favorite musician...how would that feel?
Salvation
of Humanity: A complete work or it requires human’s input?
Text: John 1:29; John
19:30 and 1 Timothy 4:10
John 1:29:
29 On the morrow
he is observing Jesus coming toward him, and is saying, "Lo! the Lamb of
God Which is taking away the sin of the world!
John 19:30:
30 When, then,
Jesus took the vinegar, He said, "It is accomplished!" And reclining
His head, He gives up the spirit.
1 Timothy 4:9-11:
9 Faithful is the saying and worthy of all
welcome
10 (for this are we toiling and being
reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Savior of all mankind,
especially of believers.
11 These things be charging and teaching.
It is
human nature to want to be part of an event. Human nature has attributes of
Yahweh because they are created in his image. Human beings love to be
identified to a completed task. It gives human sense of actualization or sense
of contribution. In as much Yahweh does not condone laziness, the work of
salvation does not require human’s contribution.
What
does it mean that human’s contribution to the work of salvation is not
required?
Paul
stated that Yeshua is the savior of all humans especially of the believers.
Does it imply that the work of salvation is limited to the believers? No. It means
all humans have been saved by the only true savior, Christ Yeshua. However,
only believers believe this truth. Now, this may raise another question on
your mind.
Who
are the believers?
These
believers do not believe because they chose to. They believe because they were
let to. Who let them believe while others do not?
Imagine
you are one of the few invited to a concert to see one of your favorite musicians.
The one that invited you brought you to the concert paid for your ticket and
even bought you some snacks. While you like
to pay for all he has spent, he told you not to worry about it. However, the concert
has not begun when you and the rest few invitees arrived. He brought you all through
the backstage to sit at the from row prior the commencement of this concert.
Other invitees who were also sponsored by the same man arrived to take their seats
1 hour when the concert has commenced.
What
make the difference between you and those who just came into the concert?
Ø You and the few people invited were at
the party 1 hour earlier. You took the front seats. You will be able to see virtually
everything happening in front of you. You can tell how the concert begins.
Ø You have been enjoying the vibes of
the musical instruments and dancing to them. You must have been signing along
with the musician as well.
What do
you think may happen to those who came to the concert later?
Ø They probably missed the commencement
of this concert.
Ø They will not be able to sit in the
front row. They may even miss some snacks already eaten by the invitees that came earlier.
Ø They may be missing out the good part
of the concert. Therefore, they will need to be informed what had happened
before they arrived.
What do
you think are common between the two group of invitees?
Ø They were both invited.
Ø Their attendant tickets were paid for
by the one that invited them.
Ø Their contributions /payments are not
required.
Ø They were all conveyed to the concert.
Ø They all got seats to sit on.
Ø None were sent away from the concert.
Ø Everyone enjoyed the concert.
Yeshua
came into this world to perform 2 major roles.
Ø He came as a Lambkin (John 1:29). He
came to pay for the sins of the world. In John 19:30, Christ Yeshua said that it
was completed. It means the work of salvation is completed. It is paid in full.
Humans still feel obligated to contribute to this work. This is not required.
It is not necessary either. It takes the faith of Christ given by Yahweh for
whoever he wills to understand this truth. Otherwise, humans will keep looking
for what is not lost.
Ø He is coming as a Lion. Revelation
19:11-21 says he would conquer the kingdom of this world. In 1 Corinthians
15:25. “For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies
under His feet” (CLNT). He will reign for a thousand years according to
Revelation 20:4. This the beginning of the concert. This will be followed by
the kingdom of Yahweh after white throne judgements as found in Revelation 20
and other events that will occur when death will be abolished (1 Corinthians
15:26-28) and Yahweh will be all in all. So, everyone will eventually be part
of this concert because nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ
(Romans 8:35-39).
Those
who will come with Yeshua to defeat Satan and his folks are called the “chosen
and faithful” according to Revelation 17:14. It means these people were chosen
by Yahweh and they have the faith of Christ. These people Yahweh have
designates beforehand. These are the people Yahweh called, justified and will
glorify at the appropriate time (Romans 8:30). These are the people he showed
the truth about the completed work of salvation.
These are the people that comes through the backstage before the concert begins. These are the people who understand that their ticket needs no refund from them. They do not need to pay for it. They do not need to do any work to earn the tickets. These are the people who will take the front seats before the concert begins.
Dear readers, the
concert I am referring to is the Kingdom of Yeshua and his father, Yahweh.
These
chosen and faithful people have faith of Christ given to them Yahweh (Galatians
5:22). These few people understand that they did not do anything to earn this
faith. It was given to them by Yahweh. They have the faith of a child and
simply believe that the work of salvation done by Christ Yeshua requires no
contribution from them.
These
set of people are justified and will be glorified by Yahweh as he has glorified
his son, Yeshua.
In
conclusion, all humans have been saved. There is no need to conclude that some
people have been saved while some have not. The doctrine of who is saved and
who is not is from Christianity. Christians conclude on people by watching
their behaviors to determine whether so and so has been saved or not. This is
not the yardstick of salvation. They make you believe their doctrines even
through the scriptures and you sheepishly believe this lie. It is not of
Yahweh. Nobody earns this work of salvation. Through Adam, all have sinned.
None of us were there when Adam and Even sinned. Through Yeshua, all have been saved
and vivified (Corinthians 15:20-21). None of us were there when he was crucified
on the tree. The faith of Christ given by Yahweh makes a few people believe that
Yeshua had saved the whole world and they have been saved too. Sinners' prayers creates a sense of contribution to the work of salvation which has been already completed. There is no need for it.
As
simple as this may look, it is very difficult for majority of people to believe
because they are wired to contribute to the already completed work.
When the
right time comes, they will also understand that there is no need for their
contribution. Everyone will have this faith at their appropriate time (1 Corinthians
15:23). These people will come to the concert when it has already begun.
This is the truth I have been charging (you). It is what I am also teaching according to Paul in 1 Timothy 4:11.
I
hope this week’s blog blesses you.
More
to come, next week.
Grace
and Peace!
