Yahweh’s wills and his intentions

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance (Main text: Genesis 2:15; Isaiah 46:9-10 and Ephesians 1:11)

Genesis 3:8-12:

8 Then they heard the sound of Yahweh Elohim walking about in the garden in the windy part of the day, and the human hid himself with his wife from the face of Yahweh Elohim among the trees of the garden.
9 Yahweh Elohim called to the human and said to him: Adam, where are you?
10 He replied to Him: I heard the sound of You walking in the garden, and I was fearful because I was naked; so I hid.
11 Then He asked: Who told you that you are naked unless you have eaten from the only tree that I instructed you by no means to eat from it?
12 The human replied: The woman whom You have given to be with me she gave me of that tree, and I ate.

Isaiah 46:9-10:

Remember the former things from the eon, For I am El, and there is no other! Elohim! and no other like Me!
10 Telling from the beginning, the hereafter, And from aforetime what has not yet been done, Saying, All My counsel, it shall be confirmed, And all My desire shall I do.

Ephesians 1:11:

11 in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One Who is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will.

Hello my dear blog readers. I like to share a few things with you about Yahweh. Many people are mixing Yahweh’s wills with his intentions. Sometimes, many people misplace one for the other. The two are not the same. It is prayer that this week’s blog helps you to understand the differences between the two. I also pray that you see how Yahweh’s wills are subsets of all his intentions.

There are few things I need you to be understand about Yahweh:

Ø  Yahweh’s intention/purpose is the overall goal he has planned in his mind. His wills are many and they are beyond human reasons. His wills can make humans wonder why such and such should have happened. It makes people wonder whether there is Yahweh or not. Sometimes, it makes people conclude there Yahweh does not care for humanity. They forget that Yahweh sits in heaven and does what he desires (Psalm 115:3). His desires are the results of his wills. His wills include instructions he gives to humanity but his intention is what he knew would happen at his wills in the end. It the end product of his wills are his overall intentions. His intentions are hidden in his wills. This may not be deciphered by humans except when he reveals them to humans. However, his intentions, purpose and counsel cannot be changed by humans’ efforts.

Ø  I am sure you may be among many people that believe nothing is strange to Yahweh. However, some people still believe things happen to humanity without Yahweh’s awareness. Is this an insult or a fact? What do you think? Have you never had such a thought in your mind before. You may be denying this but you know you are in this position too. I have heard many Christians believing Yahweh knows everything. However, they have read instances in the bible that he is not aware of some things before they happened. More so, it has been preached many times in places of worship that Yahweh reciprocate humans good and evil deeds as if it all caught him unawares. This makes people behave with this consciousness even though they confess/profess otherwise. Therefore, they are of the notion that Yahweh behaves like humans even though they read in Numbers 23:19 that El is not a man that He should lie or a son of humanity…Many Christians may be aware of this scripture but subtly, their behaviors oppose this scripture. This cannot be swept under the carpet anymore. It is simply the truth.

Ø  One thing you should realize about Yahweh is that nothing is strange to him in absolute sense. In order words, before things happens, he has already known (Isaiah 46:10). He tells things that are yet to happen before they happen. In other words, he tells the future not as fortune tellers but because he creates the future by himself.

Having mentioned all truths in the above, a good example out of many can be found in Genesis 3:8-12 that was pasted above. Here are some truths for you to hold to your heart dearly:

Ø  Prior the creation of this world, Yahweh had already slain his son, Yeshua (Revelation 13:8). That is why Genesis 1:1 starts with “in a beginning” …not “in the beginning”. Yahweh knows that in the new world (eon) he had created, his son would be slain when the right time comes. This is his intention/desire.

Ø  Therefore, he created a garden and put humans there to live. You may be wondering where Satan was. Satan was aware of the creation of this world including humans. This is Yahweh's will. Otherwise, he would have forbidden Satan from going to meet with humans in the garden of Eden.

Ø  In relative sense, Yahweh fore-warned humanity with an instruction he knew they would not keep. This was the next line of action of his will which was aligning with his overall intentions. To you, it is practically not. I can understand.  In relative sense, you are right but not in overall sense. Remember, Yahweh's thoughts are not yours. He is not human.

Ø  When the time was right, Satan came around to tempt Eve. Eve encouraged Adam to join her to disobey Yahweh’s instructions. Why did Yahweh not warn Adam and Eve of Satan who would later come to tempt them? Was it not his will that these humans be tempted? You may be thinking that Yahweh wanted to test their obedience. Not so. He knew they would disobey. Why ? He knows things before they happen.

Ø  If the humans did not disobey Yahweh’s instructions, how would there be need for Yahweh’s son who was slain prior the disruption of this world be fulfilled?

I am sure you are now connecting all dots here. Yahweh carries out the counsel of his will in any way, shape of manner he wants. To humans, Adam and Eve’s disobedience resulted to the sins that has pervaded the whole world. However, Yahweh knew beforehand prior the creation of this world that this would happen. There are many instances in the scriptures that a savior would be born to save the world.  Yahweh picked up the lineage of Abraham. He taught them how to make sacrifices to atone for sins. All these points toward Yeshua, the first son of Yahweh that would be crucified on the tree as found in the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to atone for the sins of humanity. The book of Isaiah 53 discussed the manner of the person the lambkin of Yahweh would be. Daniel chapter 9:26 says that Yeshua (Messiah) shall be cut off, and there will be no adjudication for Him. Yeshua told his father (Yahweh) that it is complete in John 19:30. The statement by Yeshua on the crucifixion tree signifies the completion of his assignment given to him before this world was created. Prior this, all events that happened during Yeshua's life resulted to his crucifixion. Think of the role played by Mary and Joseph, Herod, John the Baptist, 12 disciples, Peter's denial, Judas' betrayal, Pharisees and Sadducees' false accusations, Pilate's dilemma (I may write blog on this later), the Soldiers who gambled on Yeshua's cloth, activities of Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus to bury the dead Yeshua and many more. All these wills aligned to Yahweh's intentions. You can trace all these to the scriptures. Could they have been aborted by human's effort? No. As a matter of fact, Satan was fueling it unknowingly to him. Actually, he was also performing his role as will by Yahweh.

So, now, tell me. Is Yahweh proactive, reactive or none of the two? He is neither proactive nor reactive. He does things according to the counsel of his will (Ephesians 1:11). Neither you nor me have hands in this plan. The intentions and wills of Yahweh are far beyond human's intelligence. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us that Yahweh’s ways and thoughts are not as humans. As far as heaven is from the earth is an example of how far his counsels and wills are from ours.

I hope this week’s blog has elucidate many things hidden from you about Yahweh. Remember that Yahweh is not human. He is not in your shoes. He is not your mate. Do not put him in your cage of reasoning. Christians love to sing of the greatness of Yahweh but in deed, they oppose what they sing many times. He is far beyond your 5 senses.

Thanks for taking time to read this blog.

More to come next week.

Grace and Peace!
