Where do people that die go? (part 1)

Texts: Ecclesiastes 9:5-6; Ecclesiastes 12:7; Psalm 115:17; Daniel 12:1-2; John 11:21-27

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6:

5 For the living know that they shall die, But the dead know nothing whatsoever; There is no further reward for them; Indeed remembrance of them is forgotten.
6 Both their love and their hate as well as their jealousy have perished already, And there is no further portion for them for the eon In all that is done under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 12:7:

7 And the soil returns to the earth just as it was, And the spirit, it returns to the One, Elohim, Who gave it.

Isaiah 38:18-19:

18 Indeed the unseen cannot acclaim You, Nor can death praise You; And those who descend into a crypt cannot look forward to Your faithfulness.
19 The living! the living one! he is acclaiming You as I do today; The father makes known to his sons Your faithfulness.

Psalm 115:17:

17 The dead cannot praise Yah, Nor all those descending into stillness.
18 But we, the living, we shall bless Yah, Henceforth and unto the eon. Praise Yah!

John 11:21-27

21 Martha, then, said to Jesus, "Lord, if Thou wert here, my brother would not have died.
22 But even now I am aware that whatsoever Thou shouldst be requesting of God, God will be giving to Thee."
23 Jesus is saying to her, "Your brother will be rising."
24 Martha is saying to Him, "I am aware that he will be rising in the resurrection in the last day."
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who is believing in Me, even if he should be dying, shall be living.
26 And everyone who is living and believing in Me, should by no means be dying for the eon. Are you believing this?"
27 She is saying to Him, "Yes, Lord, I have believed that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God, Who is coming into the world."

This is another blessed week. You are welcome here to get blessed. Have you taken time to peruse all scriptures pasted above? If not, please do so before you read this week’s blog. These scriptures will enable you to understand this week’s blog beyond every reasonable doubt. You would be glad, you did.

I have heard many Christians sing that those who die are sleeping in the bosom of the Lord, Yeshua. However, they still preach that those that die in the “in the Lord” are going straight to Heaven. I have even heard some Christians said that in their dreams, they saw their their loved ones signing praises to God in Heaven. These testimonies sound to be great. Right? Most of us were wishing to see those who have died in Heaven when "Jesus" comes in the "rapture". Many of us bought these lies unknowingly. It gave us a kind of false hope. However, what I found in the scriptures negates all lies I have heard in places of worship. What do I believe in? These great testimonies or the scriptures? Hmn… this is confusing.

Here are some truths for you to hold dear to your heart this week:

Ø   The scriptures mentioned above show that the dead ones do not go straight to heaven. They simply go to rest. Their spirits are inhaled by Yahweh to himself just as he exhaled into them before they were born. Their souls rest (in Hades). This is a place called stillness. Their bodies decay over some times (Ecclesiastes 12:7). In Luke 23:46, Yeshua cried out and yielded his spirit to his father while he was hung on the crucifixion tree. It means his father inhaled the spirit of his son and his son died on the crucifixion tree.

Ø  Those who die do not come back to live except in a few occasions as found in the old and new testaments. 1 Kings 17:17-24 tells us that Elijah the Prophet raised the widow’s son from the dead. John 11 gives an account of how Lazarus who died for 4 days was resurrected. So, it is possible according to Yahweh’s plans for individuals on different occasions to come back from dead.

Ø  Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 shows that those who die forget everything about them. All their hates and loves are forgotten. They cannot praise Yahweh because they are dead as found in Psalm 115:17. Only the living can praise Yahweh according to Isaiah 38:18-19. I hope all songs that do not agree with the scriptures are corrected or even abolished by Christians because they have been either naive, deceitful, deluded or hypocritic of themselves.

Oh by the way, a true believer of Christ Yeshua do not celebrate Halloween because it is all about celebrating the dead. There are more evil things that go along with it. Be careful of what you are admiring because they end becoming what you attract to your life and your family. While this is by the way on this week's blog, it is something for you to understand.

In conclusion, the dialogue between Yeshua and Martha will be discussed with you to further establish the truth about this topic next week by the special grace of Yahweh.

Grace and Peace.

Note:

"Jesus" and "rapture" are incorrect terminologies. Yeshua/Yahushua and Harpazo (snatch away) are the correct words to use.
