the rescuer's
mission (PART 2)
Bible Texts
(Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New
Testament with keywords Concordance (Main text: Mark 5:1-19)
And
they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gergesenes.
2 And at His coming out of the ship, straightway there meets Him a man out of
the tombs, with an unclean spirit,
3 who had a dwelling among the tombs. And not even with chains was anyone able
any longer to bind him,
4 because of his having often been bound with fetters and chains, and the
chains were pulled to pieces by him and the fetters crushed. And no one was
strong enough to tame him.
5 And continually, night and day, among the tombs and in the mountains was he,
crying and gashing himself with stones.
6 And perceiving Jesus from afar, he ran and worships Him,
7 and, crying with a loud voice, he is saying, "What is it to me and to
Thee, Jesus, Son of God Most High! I am adjuring Thee by God: Not me shouldst
Thou be tormenting!"
8 For He said to it, "Come out, unclean spirit, out of the man!"
9 And He inquired of it, "What is your name?" And it is saying to
Him, "Legion is my name, for many are we."
10 And it entreated Him much that He should not be dispatching it out of the
country.
11 Now there, toward the mountain, was a great herd of hogs, grazing.
12 And all the demons entreat Him, saying, "Send us into the hogs, that we
may be entering into them."
13 And Jesus immediately permits them. And, coming out, the unclean spirits
entered into the hogs, and the herd rushes down the precipice into the sea. Now
they were about two thousand, and they were choked in the sea.
14 And those grazing them fled, and they report it in the city and in the
fields. And they came to see what it is that has occurred.
15 And they are coming to Jesus and beholding the demoniac who had the legion,
sitting and garmented and sane, and they were afraid.
16 And those who perceived it relate to them how it came to be with the
demoniac, and concerning the hogs.
17 And they begin to be entreating Him to come away from their boundaries.
18 And at His stepping into the ship, the demoniac entreated Him that he may be
with Him.
19 And He does not let him, but He is saying to him, "Go into your home,
to those who are yours, and report to them whatever the Lord has done for you
and how He is merciful to you."
This week, I
am going to start with the information found in Isaiah 61:1-3. It was
prophesized that Yeshua would help the poor, bind the broken heart, free the
prisoners from their darkness and declare the day of vengeance of Elohim Yahweh.
Yeshua began to fulfill this prophecy as he crossed over to the other side of
the river. Last week, you were informed of the attack he encountered on his
road to rescue a poor man waiting for help on the other side of the river. His
disciples did not perceive the unseen battle Yeshua conquered but only saw how
he rebuked the storm and the wind that was causing trouble on the sea. The road
was cleared for Yeshua to continue his rescue mission. However, I like to discuss
on a few points on this week’s scripture briefly.
There were
other unseen spirits waiting dreadfully to see this missionary. They were
uncomfortable at his sight. One thing many people need to understand is that
these unclean spirits recognized Yeshua. They knew that he is the son of the almighty
God. They were terrified to see him in his human form. His sight reminded them
of the book of Isaiah 61:1-3. They knew their time of tormenting this helpless
man was over. They taught the time Yeshua would declare vengeance day of Elohim
Yahweh had come. They taught it was the judgement time on them. It means these
unclean spirits knew the scriptures. It amazes me why some people disdain the
truth about the scriptures. Yeshua knew all these while his disciples were
there watching with no apparent clue of what was going on. The day to declare
the vengeance of the Lord is yet to come.
These unclean
invisible spirits requested mercy from Yeshua. He granted them. He simply let
them enter into the herd of hogs. He was also merciful on them too pending the time of the day of judgement. These unclean spirits never entered into
this man anymore. This poor man was freed from that day. He wanted to follow Yeshua as one
of his disciples, but Yeshua did not let his emotion clouded him. He knew that
his followers were not chosen by emotion but by his father’s will (John 6:44). He chooses his followers (as his father directs him) not on the other way round (John 15:16). This further establishes the fact that we cannot choose to follow Yeshua if it is not him that chooses us (in accordance with his father's directives). The great
and mighty experience this poor man encountered was good enough for him to tell his people
of the Lord’s mercy on his life. Yeshua did not condemn him either.
Why did
Yeshua mention the word, mercy?
It appears that this man may have plunged himself into unholy thing that resulted to the torments he went through. He must have done something that attracted torment of evil spirits. We should be watchful of what we admire. People may be attracted to what they admire. However, this man could not get out of this ordeal because he had signed a spiritual contract with the devil. This was why they lived in his body. He realized that he could not help it. His soul was crying for help. This poor man had been tormented for a long time by thousands of unclean invisible spirits. He could not live among his people anymore. He had to live in a secluded place. He resided in a tomb. This man had to scratch his skin with stone to relive his pains temporarily. He had horrible feelings. He needed spiritual freedom. While his body and soul were wailing in an unmeasurable agony, his spirit was yarning for freedom. It’s just like people abusing drugs and harmful substances. They experience a lot of evil spirits torments. I used to be a Case Manager. I have had a few people telling me of their terrible experiences. This is to confirm that as Yahweh, Yeshua and other elohim are real, Satan and his evil folks are also real. Many celebrities have explained their ordeals rooting from signing contract with devil as well. Please, check internet for some of them. We all need the mercy of God for continuous freedom and peace of mind.
Elohim Yahweh will always have
mercy on whoever he wants (Exodus 33:19 and Romans 9:15). This is why he sent
his son, Yeshua on a rescue mission to cross to the other side of the river to
help this poor man. May Yahweh continue to show us mercy on whatever we may
have put ourselves into whether knowingly and unknowingly. Amen!

Wow! May the good Lord continue to have mercy on us all. May he continue to save us from evil contract/agreement.
