Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New
Testament with keywords Concordance-CLNT (Isaiah 46:9-10; Romans 9:19-23;
Revelation 20:11-15)
"Remember
the former things from the eon. For I am Elohim! and no other like Me!. Telling
from the beginning, the hereafter, And from aforetime what has not yet been
done. Saying, All My counsel, it shall be confirmed, And all My desire shall I
do" (Isaiah 46:9-10).
"...And
I perceived the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. And
scrolls were opened. And another scroll was opened which is the scroll of life.
And the dead were judged by which is written in the scrolls in accord with
their acts" (Revelation 20:12).
In all my life studying the scriptures, the book of revelation was one of my favorites. I love it because of the series of events that appeared to be surreal in the books. During my childhood stage, I used to wonder how these events would happen. In those days, computer had not been introduced to the public. In the part of the world, I used to live, bible preachers dread the books of revelation because they preached sermons that would bring fear and condemnations into congregations. The horror of death, destructions, world economy collapse, wars, famine, Anti-Christ, mark of the beast, white throne judgments, lake of fire among other things in the books would shoot arrow of fear and trembling into the spine of most church members. These preachers made their congregations perceive Yahweh as a very terrible, fearsome and dreadful in destroying his creations because they refused to accept his son (Yeshua) as their personal Lord and Savior.
So, many people would rush to the preacher's altar to give their lives to Christ to avoid white throne judgments. The question is, how did these preachers perceive the white throne judgments? What did other scriptures reveal about how Yahweh judges? Would he be just and fair on this judgment day? What were people thinking of this day? What about your friends and your loved ones who were of good characters but did not give their lives to Christ? Would they also be judged and condemned to the lake of fire? What of those who refused to believe in God you believe before they died? Would they be separated from Yahweh forever? How about the young children that died in accident, war or hunger? What about the aborted children? Would they be judged? What of those who died before Christ was crucified? What about cruel people like Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden and Samuel Doe? Would Yahweh be merciful to them or would they burn forever in the lake of fire?
If you are thinking on so many things like I used to, this new series might be of great help for you. However, hold these words to your heart: We cannot change Yahweh's plan for our lives. We act his plans whether we are aware of it or not. He will judge fairly not the way most people may have thought.
Please, stay tuned for next week's blog to conclude
this interesting topic.
