“What shall be separating us from the love of God in Christ Jesus? Affliction, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? According as it is written, that on thy account we are being put to death the whole day. We are reckoned as sheep for slaughter. Nay! In all these, we are more than conquering through Him Who loves us”
Hello people, I like to continue from last week’s lesson.
Love from Yahweh’s lens is the eye he looks at us. It means most people
perceive him not the way he perceives us.
This week focuses on the fact that love comes from God (Yahweh) because this love is “of” God. So, it all centers on God. All religious people are striving to do is their perceptions that nothing shall separate them from the love “for” God. I pray that you understand the difference between love of God and love for God. Paul informed us in this scripture passage that this kind of love actually comes from God. It is love of God not love for God. I understand that King James Bible Version (among other bible versions) may have incorrectly recorded this scripture passage. This passage is very sensitive.
The love is of God. Therefore, it is all about him. It means
in spite of all afflictions, nakedness and the rest things mentioned in this verse;
God’s love will never leave us. This is why we are more than conqueror because
he loves us not because we love him.
With this understanding, it means we do not have anything to do to impress God to show how much we love him. However, we may show our gratitude by living right. It does not connote perfections. So, we do not have to beat ourselves down on this. Our righteousness is like filthy rag in his presence. However, religious people make you see the love of God as if it is love for God. They love to impose their false doctrines on you to subject you to the things you would keep struggling with every day. This is why they preach freewill to you. They subtly promote self-righteousness with or without their knowledge. They make you see that it is by your freewill that you love God. They even make you see that God loves you because you choose to love him. All these are false. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God is the statement which is non-negotiable.
Love of God does not require your input. It does not require
your righteousness. It does not require your freewill. This is the unconditional
love of God to humanity. I will provide you the instances Paul mentioned from
verse 38 through 39 next week.
I hope you have been blessed with this true nugget.
Shalom!
Praise Yah who loves us unconditionally. His steadfast love never wearies on us. He pours rain on the good and the evil. He makes sun shines on the good and the evil. His mercy is new every morning. Great is his faithfulness. No one can beat these!
