No Condemnation (Part 1)

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance (Romans 8:1-4)

"Nothing, consequently, is now condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Not according to flesh are they walking, but according to spirit, for the spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus frees you from the law of sin and death. For what was impossible to the law, in which it was infirm through the flesh, did God, sending his Son in the likeness of sin's flesh and concerning sin, He condemns sin in the flesh, that just requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us who are not walking in accord with flesh, but in accord with spirit".

It is another week to discuss a new topic in brief. This week's topic reminds me of the memory verse given to me to recite many years ago in my home country. It is one of my best bible verses even though I did not understand it then. I was happy to stand in front of hundreds of people with microphone in my hand and recited this wonderful bible verse to the faces patiently waiting to hear what I had to say. It was an exciting moment in the church. Hearing the sound of thunderous claps gladdened my mind after I successfully completed my recitations. Since then this bible passage had never left my heart.

What does it means not to be condemned? I have seen a thousand times when Church leaders/officials would call "sinners" to come to the altar to confess their sins and say sinners' prayers. People would clap for them and they will be registered into baptismal class right away. However, this organized ways of recruitment only succeeded in adding members to the church while sins never left sinners.

What does it means not to be condemned? Seeing those who called out sinners to come to the church altar to say sinners' prayers committing series of sins which include but not limited to greed; unforgiveness; hatred; lies; backbiting; adultery; fornication; stealing and gossip, I have concluded within my mind that when sinners call out sinners to say sinners' prayers is a serious sin. This is ridiculous.

Now, what does it means not to be condemned? First of all, sins may result to condemnation. Many Christians are quite familiar with this fact. What makes them think they are sinless? What makes them think they are qualified to call sinners like them to say sinner's prayers? Oh, does it implies that some sins are negligible while those who go to church probably for the first time must have committed heavy sins? Psalm 130:3 points to that no one would stand if Yahweh is keeping our record of sins.

So, why condemning people whom their sins are being exposed by those who think they are exonerated from condemnation of sin just because they have not been caught? Who is righteous? Who truly understand Yahweh? Who is seeking him? I tell you, the answer is none (Romans 3:10-12).

Have I got your attention? This is getting more interesting but I have to stop here this week.

Please, be patience with me on this matter. I have a lot to dish out to you my beautiful blog readers.

I hope to continue on this wonderful topic next week by the special grace of God.
