New Year; New you?

Bible Texts (Concordant Version of the Old Testament and Concordant Literal New Testament with keywords Concordance (Romans 12: 2)

Howdy all Saints of Christ Yeshua! Grace and Peace of Yahuah abide with you. Happy 2025. It's being a couple of years I published my weekly blog. By the grace of Yahuah, I have come back to dish out the word of Yahuah to you weekly by the grace of God Almighty.

I like to jumpstart this week's blog by addressing what New Year means. It is not what most of you might expect from me. You want to know? Of course, I will let you know.

First of all, how did you feel when the ticking clock stroke on 12:00am? You probably screamed happy New Year! Some would dance with joy for some minutes. Some might even hug other people to welcome themselves into the New Year. It was time for some to engage in fireworks. Some might begin to fast and pray for many days...(religious routine) or it is time to get in good shape. It is always a joyful thing to begin to change our wall calendar (for an old school like me). Some may begin to make resolutions on what to do or what not to do in the New Year. All these are good too.

You know one thing? Being in the New Year does not imply you are a new person. What make you a different person are what you realized were your strengths; weaknesses; opportunities and threats you had in last year and what you intend to do to improve on yourself in the New Year to maximize your gains at lower cost.

However, Romans 12:2 admonished us to renew our minds with the words of God. What would scriptures help us to achieve when our laptops have been opened for us to begin to engage our fingers on the keyboards to make things happen? You see my dear readers, spiritual things control physical things. This is why the word of Yahuah makes the difference. Romans 12-2 admonished us not to conform to the world but to renew our minds through the words of Yahuah. What do the people of the world might do? They are all things mentioned above. Are they in error? Not really. However, you can take it to the next level this year. This is why spiritual things should not be disdained. They control physical things. We achieve greater things not by our abilities (Zechariah 4:6 and 1 Samuel 2:9). Matthew 4:4 admonished us not to focus on what we want to achieve in this New Year only but to apply the truth that comes from Yahuah's words (Holy Scriptures). Joshua 1:8 admonished us to soliloquize on the scriptures, observe what the contexts are and apply them into our lives. This is when we can act more intelligently. It is Yahuah who blesses our efforts (1 Corinthians 3:6-8).

Lastly, there is much more information out there for us to access to become better people in this year. This information result to access to plenty of knowledge as it is written in Daniel 12:4. However, wisdom is the next level to knowledge. Renewing of your mind through the scriptures may be of great help to apply our knowledge in positive ways. Words of Yahuah do not only inform but transform and renew minds of those who are simple in hearts to receive his words. You know that the hearts of children are simple unlike adults. Please, believe his words with hearts of children. It will help your faith a lot in this year. Believe me.

I will stop here.

I hope you have been blessed.

I hope to come back with more exciting topics from next week.

Please, feel free to write your comments below this message in the texting box.

Shalom!
